The Law Student Division of the America Bar Association administers the Client Counseling Competition in the United States.  The ABA conducts regional competitions in January/February. The top-ranking teams in the regional competitions compete in the ABA National Finals in March.  The winning team qualifies to participate in the International Client Consultation Competition.  The ABA Competition topic differs from the International topic.
