Northern Ireland

​The Northern Ireland Client Consultation Competition is organised and hosted every year by the Law Society of Northern Ireland. It is usually held in January and takes place in the Society’s dedicated consultation area, The Meeting Space. The competition is open to the winners of the regional competitions held at each of the Universities in Northern Ireland and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.
 
The winner of the 2024 competition who will compete in the International Competition was Anna Thompson of Tughans Solicitors and Katie Kennedy of Pinsent Masons Solicitors. Both are current trainee solicitors at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and competed as part of the Institute team.
 
Anna and Katie were coached by Stuart Harper solicitor IPLS and will now go on to compete in the international competition taking place in Lublin, Poland from 10th April to 13th April 2024. It will be hosted by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in partnership with Ukraine.
