The National Client Consultation Competition (NCCC) 2026, the national qualifying round for
Malaysia’s premier client consultation competition was proudly hosted by the Faculty of Law,
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, Malaysia. The competition brought together
talented law students from seven public universities across Malaysia serving as a rigorous
platform to assess and enhance students’ client consultation and professional
communication skills.
Designed to simulate real world legal practice, the NCCC challenges participants to
demonstrate legal acumen, ethical judgment, empathy and strategic problem-solving in client
facing scenarios. The 2026 edition once again showcased the exceptional calibre of
Malaysia’s future legal professionals.
This year’s national championship was clinched by the International Islamic University
Malaysia (IIUM) with Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) securing an impressive runner-up
position. Their performances reflected a high level of preparation, professionalism and
mastery of client consultation techniques.
Representing Malaysia at the International Client Consultation Competition (ICCC) 2026 will
be Nur Khadija Safiyya binti Faizal Sazali and Naurah binti Bakaruddin from IIUM, following
their outstanding victory at the national level.

The National Client Consultation Competition (NCCC 2025) for national qualifying competition is hosted by Faculty of Law, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This competition aims to hone and assess the consultation skills of law students from seven law schools of public universities across Malaysia. It provides a platform for participants to showcase their abilities while testing their skills in handling real-world legal situations. This year's edition saw the national championship title being claimed by Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and the University of Malaya (UM) secured the runner-up. The winners of the 2025 national competition who will be competing at the 2025 ICCC is Umasrri A/P B. Ravandran and Ethen Chang Yin Teck from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).
2024
The Harun M. Hashim National Client Consultation Competition (NCCC 2024), Malaysia's national qualifying competition, is hosted every year on a rotation basis between the seven law schools of public universities in Malaysia. It is held at the end of February or beginning of March each year. The national competition is open to winners of internal competitions held at each University.
We are grateful to inform that the host for 2024 national competition was Universiti Utara Malaysia. The winners of the 2024 national competition who will be competing at the ICCC are Alya Zulaikha Binti Kamal Effendy and Izzati Syahirah Binti Zainuddin from Universiti Teknologi MARA.
