President Steven AustermillerSteven Austermiller is President of the Brown Mosten ICCC. Austermiller has been involved with the organization since 2007, when he started the competition in Cambodia. He was the ICCC National Representative for Cambodia from 2007-2012. In 2012, he started the competition in the Republic of Georgia, serving as ICCC National Representative there until 2016. Since then, he has provided client consultation training in many places and helped establish competitions at law schools around the world.
Steven has a BSc and JD from Northwestern University. He practiced commercial litigation for eight years at Pedersen & Houpt in Chicago, becoming a partner in 2000. For sixteen years, he managed U.S. State Department-funded international development programs in various countries. In these programs, he helped countries modernize their legal education systems, restructure their judicial regimes, and promoted human rights and international standards. Since 2016, he has taught law at the University of South Carolina and serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Rule of Law Collaborative, which promotes legal and judicial reform around the world. |
