Law Society of Ireland, Dublin
The 2012 Competition was held in Dublin, with 22 teams competing. This year Germany and Turkey competed for the first time and there were observers from Switzerland, Sweden, and Iran, so the competition will be growing. The topic was law relating to employers and employees.
Semi-finalists included New Zealand, Northern Ireland, India, Germany, China, Cambodia, Nigeria, Scotland and Canada. (Puerto Rico, Jamaica, the USA and the Netherlands almost broke to elimination rounds.)
The New Zealand team of Rob Clarke and Alex Boock from the University of Otago, coached by Selene Mize, won the final round, with Germany and China runners up.
